“The 4 Year Old Take It Home morning:
MY CHURCH
This past Sunday was so much fun in our Take It Home mini seminar with our 4 year olds. We have 11 four year olds at Aspen Grove right now! The kids and parents had a great time going on a treasure hunt to different places in the church to meet with some of the key leaders in our church.
During our time together we talked about what it means to be part of a church and what a church really is. We talked about the church being the people, not the building. It was a great morning together and I am so thankful for each and every 4 year old in our church family!
Here is what a few parents had to say…
“It was great. Really, very good. Jack loved the hunt and I think it was very valuable for him to meet the key people in our church and see what they do. Emily and I were both very impressed.
The one thing that stuck was something that Matt Rhodes said about the church being a people and not a building. If your family moves to a new house it is still your house. If your church moves to a new building it is still your church. Love it.” –Michael Ballard
“I thought it was a great way to connect with the kids and their class. It’s good for them to see that we are following what they are doing in Sunday school and that we agree with what they are learning and we know it’s important as well. Ian said he liked the scavenger hunt.”–Carrie Krombein
