First-Time Guests

  • I'm a nursing mom. What can I expect?

We have a nursing moms room where you are welcome to sit and nurse.  There is a changing table, several chairs, and the sound from the service is available with volume control.

  • What do I do if my child has allergies?

When you check in at the Visiting Family table, let the greeter know.  Your child’s name tag will be marked with an orange sticker to indicate he should not be served goldfish or animal crackers.  You are welcome to bring a snack for your child instead.

  • I have a special needs child. Can we come on Sundays?

We welcome children of all backgrounds and needs.  We are grateful to have several special needs teachers in our church family who can help families, volunteers and kids in our setting.  Please contact one of the Family Ministry leaders about your child’s needs in particular and we can discuss what steps we need to take to make your child’s visit a good one.

  • When does my child get a permanent name tag?

After about 5 Sundays of regular attendance we feel safe in assuming that your family is strongly considering making AGCC your church home.  Five weeks does not dictate a commitment to AGCC, but as you continue to discern where God is leading you, we will invite you to fill out a family registration form and we’ll print permanent name tags.  If, before we approach you, you know you’ll be coming regularly please let us know and we’re happy to register you and get your child all set with a personalized name tag.

  • Do you offer a regular weekday program for children?

We don’t currently offer any regularly-scheduled mid-week programs for our kids.  Our hope is to see kids and families connect through a variety of events–social events for just kids, social events for families, missional opportunities for kids and families, and discipleship building events for kids and families.  Those types of special gatherings are scheduled throughout the year, and we seek for them to truly support our vision of coming as we are (connect), being transformed (grow) and going to change the world (go).
